Congratulations to the Art History Graduate Forum for last week’s 2016 Cultural Symposium entitled “Artivism – Art + Activism Across Cultures.”

Artivism is defined as art that is used to bring about social or political change.  In today’s world, we are faced with an extraordinary amount of issues across all aspects of culture. In this turbulent period, how have art and artists responded? The goal of this symposium is to encourage communication and the exchange of ideas concerning how art has been a catalyst for change.

Here’s the program/speakers presented, along with images from the symposium.
