For eight years, Gum was a Senior Designer on AdultSwim.com and CartoonNetwork.com, working on interactive products and promo animations for both sites. After he left Turner in 2012, he worked for Macmillan Publishing for two years, doing UI design for their web-based learning management systems. Before returning to freelance work in May of 2016, he was Director of Interactive and then Creative Director at a boutique marketing and branding agency here in Atlanta. Along the way, he has designed and produced packaging and poster design for music venues, bands, and stand-up comedians, while also running a small record label.
He spends his free time designing and building lamps and other furniture, making beef jerky, and collecting broken cars and cats. The cars are broken, not the cats. Well, some of the cats are broken.
His Design Philosophy : The Chicken is Success. The Coyote is Design. The Fence is Process. The Wolf is Compromise.
