INTERNSHIPS
B.F.A. & B.A. Internships

A career in the arts can take many forms. Students are encouraged (and in some concentrations, required) to take at least one internships during their B.F.A. coursework. Our location in downtown Atlanta creates excellent opportunities to work with local, regional, national, and international design firms, galleries, creative non-profits, museums, and media companies. Students receive class credit for their internship as well as real-world experience.
Having a co-op or internship can help you:
- Gain valuable experience
- Figure out your career path
- Apply the skills you’ve learned in school to a professional setting
- Expand your professional network
- Be considered for a full-time position
For more information, talk to your advisor and visit the Co-ops and Internships page for a Q&A about Georgia State policies.
