School of Art and Design Front Office Assistant
*PLEASE NOTE MUST BE A CURRENT GSU STUDENT and MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR FEDERAL WORK STUDY*
We are seeking a student assistant to support the front office. This job will begin in the Fall 2024 semester.
REGULAR DUTIES:
Responsible for basic data entry, filing, copying, mailings, word processing, and other duties as needed. Also responsible for managing the Art & Design front desk email and phone lines, as well as answering visitor questions and other basic customer service tasks.
SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS:
Students are often given special on-going or one-time assignments such as maintaining computer records, creating computer-based documents, or research.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES:
• Organizational Skills
• Time Management Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel
• Previous experience in an office preferred, but not essential
• Reliable, Responsible, and Friendly
• Must be comfortable speaking with front desk visitors; must be comfortable speaking on the phone
