Graphic Design Sequence & BFA Program

3000 Level Graphic Design Courses (3 credits each)
Required to apply to the BFA Program

Pre-requisites 3000 Level GRD Courses

• ART 1010 - Drawing I
• ART 1020 - 2-Dimensional Design

3000 Level GRD Courses

• GRD 3000 - Intro to Graphic Design - Offered in Summer and Fall Semesters
• GRD 3150 - Intro to Typography - Offered in Fall and Spring Semesters
• GRD 3200 - Intermediate Graphic Design - Offered - taught only in the Spring Semester

BFA Portfolio Review - Guidelines PDF will be sent to all GRD3200 classes

• Requires completion of all Area F classes
• Requires completion of all GRD 3000-level classes with a C or better grade
• Portfolio: All work from GRD 3000, 3150, 3200 in 12x18 or 13x19 format (see Guidelines PDF)

Portfolio Pick-up & Drop-off Sequence

• Portfolio drop-off(AH468) - 10 days from the end of the semester
  
• BFA Decision Emails sent - Out Within five days of portfolio drop-off
  
• Portfolio pickup (AH468) - Within three days of the Decision Email

BFA Program & Requirements for Graduation

• One 4000-level Art History
• Completion of all 3-credit courses below with a C or better
• Two Area G electives, taken during BFA sequence (*suggested semesters for full-time course load)
• Work shown in BFA exhibition, and successfully pass the Exit Portfolio Review
